Paradigms of Consciousness
This was the first class I started as part of this program in the fall of 2019. We read McIntosh’s Integral Consciousness, but most of the memorable content came from the articles the professor would post online. It was an exploration of different worldviews throughout history, how we move from one to the next, and various philosophies within each. We explored concepts like Spiral Dynamics, Quantum Theory, different indigenous paradigms, and theory of dialogue/conflict resolution. A couple articles are linked below. We would write weekly discussion posts, had multiple written “test” essays, wrote a media report that illustrated a new paradigm, and created a myth story that explored introduction of a new paradigm.
